Goldman Sachs has used a fund set up with Chinese state money to buy a series of US and UK companies. The Wall Street bank has made seven deals using cash from a $2.5 billion private equity “partnership fund” it set up in 2017 with the sovereign wealth fund China Investment Corporation. This is according to people close to the fund and its operations. The bank did reveal its investments in these companies in the past.
