Bitcoin performed better during Trump’s first term as president

Donald Trump has embraced the cryptocurrency ecosystem this term, launching multiple projects, promising a bitcoin reserve and a digital asset stockpile, and voicing his support for legislation moving through the House and the Senate. Alleged crypto scammer gets a face reveal courtesy of ZachXBT

The face behind an alleged $650,000 UK crypto scam that was documented in detail by ZachXBT today has been revealed by a user on X (formerly Twitter). X user Padrino revealed a photo of the alleged scammer while asking if they’re “Ready to go to prison?” They posted screenshots of the individual while they appeared on a webcam. ZachXBT has confirmed that the individual is indeed the alleged scammer, telling Protos that footage of the individual was recorded during a video call. Discord channels of five crypto firms hacked in a week

The Witness Chain Discord channel was reportedly hacked today, making it the fifth crypto company this month to see its Discord taken over by hackers.  Witness Chain is a blockchain-based DePIN validation project. Hackers appear to have used its Discord to share malicious links, with core contributor Pankaj Agarwal warning members, “please do not click on any links posted there!” Agarwal then posted just over an hour later that the Discord server had been recovered from the hackers and fixed. Strike accused of alleged data breach

In an Oct. 31 post on X, ZachXBT called out Strike, the global money app, for misleading users. Strike initially responded with a quote from TheBlock claiming that there was no evidence that it was involved in a data breach . Attempted phishing scams In the post, the anonymous blockchain sleuth shared that five or more people received phishing emails over the weekend to emails that were associated with Strike. These emails have proven to be dangerous as a method for scammers to steal passwords, account numbers and other personal information.
