Ripple v. SEC court case update June 5

All eyes are on the long-running Ripple v. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) case again, with June 16 marking the expiration of the SEC’s 60-day window to update the U.S. Court of Appeals on the status of the case. The deadline was set in April, when the Second Circuit Court of Appeals agreed to a pause following a joint request from Ripple and the SEC, on the condition that the SEC file a status report by June 15. Bill Morgan, Ripple’s attorney, noted that “something has to happen” by June 16, suggesting major procedural updates and the continuation of the appeals process are equally possible. The count down to the date the SEC must report to the Appeal Court is now 12 days. Something has to happen by then or the Appeal and Cross-appeal continues and a briefing is due from Ripple. pic.twitter.com/pxImvvJxGG — bill morgan (@Belisarius2020) June 4, 2025 Is the XRP v. For years, Bankman and Fried’s ultimate culpability for actions related to the crimes of their son remained unknown. Today, SBF is in prison serving a 25-year prison sentence. Nevertheless, his parents remain free civilians. The US government has never publicly charged his parents for crimes. Million-dollar payments from FTX to SBF’s parents When John J.
