Citi Group’s New Forecast About Ethereum

Citigroup has forecasted a new prediction about ETH this year. Per the firm, Ethereum is all set to soar and hit $6400 by year-end, provided it continues to leverage the current market momentum and pace. The Wall Street giant later shared how the network activity is set to play a major role in determining the value of the asset.
“Current prices are above activity estimates, potentially driven by recent buying pressure and excitement over use cases.” Citi said in a note dated Monday.
Discussing in depth about ETH’s value, the institution believes the token’s value depends heavily on users’ usage and activity. For instance, Ethereum’s value shines through its smart contract capabilities and trading and lending elements, which may play a pivotal role in streamlining its role as a solid crypto. The institution further added how, in a base case scenario, ETH may hit $4300 by year-end.
Citi Group further shared a bearish case scenario for the asset, adding how ETH may also fall to $2200 if its usage and activity decline to new lows.
